Also, it's a bit flaky when it comes to navigating its way back to the charging station following a run -- other robots can follow a previous route or even follow a wall around until they get to their destination, but the RX3 just bumbles about until it finally gives up and sends a message of failure to your phone.
Another issue we faced was with its smart features, particularly the mapping function as well as digital keep-out zones. While it did a decent job of avoiding our shoes and furniture legs, it got easily hung up by socks and cables, and was unable to handle the tassels of rug. We didn't include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and a dazzling performance. It's worth a look as an alternative to the traditional uprights.
